Wilberfoss CE Primary School is a Church of England school at the heart of the community and where every child matters. The school’s philosophy is that all members of the learning community should learn for life and aim for excellence. The church also plays an important role in the life of the school.
Place of Worship
Serving the people of Wilberfoss, Kexby and Newton upon Derwent. Services are held each Sunday at 8am (Holy Communion) and 11am (Parish Communion). Everyone is welcome Priest in Charge: Rev'd Simon Pritchard
Allotments
Wilberfoss has an active and friendly Allotment Association. The allotment site has 32 plots consisting of full and half-size plots just a short walk from the village centre. For an informal chat or to join the waiting list, please enquire by email.
Sports Clubs
Wilberfoss Mavericks is a thriving Junior Football Club. Open to boys and girls, there's even an opportunity through the mini Mavericks for 4 and 5 year olds to have a kick around!
Wilberfoss Tennis Club is a welcoming village club that invites tennis enthusiasts of all levels to join. Our four beautiful carpet courts are meticulously cleaned annually to ensure they remain in top condition. Most recently, the fourth court was resurfaced to maintain our high standards of play.
Based 9 miles East of York, Wilberfoss AFC compete in the York District leagues as well as York and East Riding Cup competitions.
Public Transport
Wilberfoss is serviced by East Yorkshire Buses. The X47 services runs through the village along Main Street and the X45 and X46 services run along the A1079. You can check timetables, plan your journey, track your bus and even buy your ticket on the EY Buses app. Many of the village bus stops have bus shelters or access to one at the opposite side of the road.

Work with Humberside Police to stop Wilberfoss from being targeted. Ring 101 even if you don't think you can provide much information. Someone else may have reported something that could tie in with your account of the event.
Street Safe is a pilot service for anyone to anonymously tell us about public places where you have felt or feel unsafe, because of environmental issues, eg street lighting, abandoned buildings or vandalism and/or because of some behaviours, e.g. being followed or verbally abused.
